okay, my head is telling me its no big deal. however, my emotions tell me otherwise. the funk in my right eye is improving. a new funk has started in my left eye. i'm getting all the preliminary symptoms i had in the other eye in this eye. and i'm none too happy about it. i'm pretty sure its a sty...but why?! i also think i'm getting a urinary tract infection or something of the sort that will need to be checked out. my hair is falling out due to the hormonal rush or crash that comes after pregnancy. whatever it is. its coming out more than with elise, less than with ian, but not particulary fun either way. its coming out primarily on the left side, above my temple and around my part. my hair lays differently so i don't know what to do with it these days. yecch... lets see, then there's merry grace who had 4 shots today & ian who has been on a destroying rampage (dumping out kitty food, getting out about 10 rolls of toilet paper to use as building blocks, tearing apart my broom...) plus elise & ian have been having diarrhea the last two days. actually, aside from ian's destruction, the kids have been great today. that's my bright spot, i guess. elise has been a big help as usual, even heating up my compress to put over my crusty eye. (now eyes...) ian was sweet to share his french fries with elise who really wanted a few more for supper. and now that the day is winding down, some semblance of peace is settling on the house. whew! and not a moment too soon. i think the next thing of mine to breakdown was going to be my nerves! =)

6 rays of sunshine:
When it rains it pours, right? I'm finding that I'm not really a nice person because it is always comforting for me to know that other people have crazy things like this happen to them too. =) Way to go in looking for the bright spot in your day!
We this post was just ray of sunshine. I can just feel the rays coming in.
cory
What a day! I had the same thing with the hair loss after pregnancy. I'll just tell you, there's a lot that goes on during and after a pregnancy!
Thank heavens for those sweet little bright spots!
susan, you're right! i feel the same way. sometimes its just nice to know that someone else has "been there". i love hearing about other people's crazy stuff b/c when I have stuff happen i always think, "does stuff like this happen to everyone?" plus its always funnier when it happened to someone else! =)
cory, haha! i'm doom & gloom remember?
mama, the hair thing isn't too much fun. thankfully its falling out less than with ian. i was really afraid i might have a bald spot after him! =)
just as an update...my right eye is slightly better, my left eye is worse. (i am truly a sight for sore eyes!) also ian needed to pee this morning and went to the bathroom to do so. unfortunately, he also needed to poopy, apparently. and being a boy & peeing standing up, that didn't turn out so well. i think with the diarrhea thing he just couldn't tell. poor kid. he was pretty traumatized. but with a valiant team effort (i had been nursing merry grace when it happened, so i QUICKLY made her a bottle and elise fed her while i cleaned up the poop) we survived the first rough patch of the day!
i just realized this has totally turned into a poop post! sorry!
Nothing like a good poop story with this crowd! Poor Ian and the rest of you!
tell me about it! ian's had a rough time of it. he also got chewing gum stuck all (and i do mean all) stuck in his hair and we had to cut it out. i think i evened it out pretty well, but boy! what a mess!
