cats really are different than dogs, but maria is a lot of fun to watch. my digital camera doesn't take great action shots, so i can't really get the photograph i want. but here is a little glimpse of how she looks. she bats & pounces & chases & looks so cute doing it. we're glad she's joined our little bunch!

3 rays of sunshine:
I have good memories of a cat named Sammy. She would crouch down and wiggle its bum back and forth when ready to pounce. Then it would attack me (it was just a kitten, so it didn't hurt me). It was really funny.
after watching our cat play, i can picture what you're talking about. maria does something similar when playing with a stick or a leaf. she also sometimes pounces on her tail, which is so funny.
These days our cat, Ralph, does a lot of trying to avoid Spot - who just loves, in her cute little puppy way, to play with Ralph.
