random thoughts

1. did you know that "the sound of music" was based on an actual family? i don't know how much is truth, but its interesting, nonetheless.

2. i'm like the modern day princess and the pea. my body feels every spring in our bed--in every bed we've ever owned, actually. no one else is bothered by them, but i always feel like i've slept on a passy or something. now there's proof that cory married a real life princess.

3. we bought laminate floor to put down in our living room. YAY!!! i hate carpet. as mama told me, its like gluing rags to your floor but never being able to clean them. how gross is that? anyway, yay for laminate.

4. i was devastated when chris got voted off american idol last week. i did NOT see that one coming. i think i may have to boycott american idol from now on.

5. i'm addicted to sweets & fabric. i feel compelled to eat every "sweet bite" i see. i feel compelled to buy at least one piece of fabric in every store i enter!

6. the dollar tree is such a fun place to go every now and then. there are so many things you can get for only $1.00.

7. i love to get mail! real mail, email, blog comments...any kind of stuff like that.

I definitely agree with you on the getting mail part. It's always soo cool to get a letter, blog post, e-mail, or anything of the sort. That's why I love gmail because I only gave it out to people, I didn't use it to register on any sites, thus eliminating junk e-mail. Quite dishearening is expecting an e-mail/letter and checking your inbox...seeing that (1) beside the inbox link, clicking it, and then seeing a chain e-mail from some person who you haven't seen in 15 years.

It's important to have a good vacuum and use it frequently. We didn't do that and our carpet is trashed.

we didn't have a good one for a while & now we have one that seems to do the job. but with kids, short of hog-tying them to a chair all day, can you really prevent the spills and messes they make on carpet? even with sippy cups, we've had more than our share of spills & when there are lots of kids over, food and drink always get taken in the bedrooms without us knowing it. i just hate the carpet. if i could have my way, we would have NONE. and i totally mean that. NO CARPET!

hahaha! many a day i would gladly do that!

I like Adrian's idea - very practical! My next house, I think I'd go with no carpet, too.
