Watching elise & ian play barbies yesterday was like deja vu. it reminded me so much of how ethan & i used to play barbies. being the big sister, i could make him play things with me that he might not otherwise choose. but as i saw with ian, just because he was "playing barbies" didn't mean he was playing it the way elise would want him to. they actually were playing so cute and so happily despite their different approaches. elise would work to fix their hair, dress them, line them up and so on. ian would get them, fly them around like airplanes--complete with sounds--and swoop them around over to elise's pile. she would take them from him and fix their hair....and so on. it was adorable! i just enjoyed watching them interact so much. the joys of siblings...

he's becoming well-rounded. actually, even when he plays with elise's girl stuff, he still plays with it like a boy. (as can be seen from some of the pictures...)
as long as Ian doesn't start liking the Carolina Tar Heels, there is still some hope for him. I would recommend an immedieate WAKE FOREST DEMON DEACON diet for the next....lifetime...lol
Anyway though, I think that is really cool. Ian and Elise are soo much fun to be around. They're a cute bro and sis pair! A few more weeks and there will be one more Barnett in the bunch!
i think it may be too late on the tarheel count. if you'll notice he has a unc shirt on in the picture. he wants to weart this shirt non-stop, so i finally broke down & bought him another one. that way he can at least rotate. maybe one will be clean at all times. maybe...
We need to find him a WFU shirt, too! They are really cute playing barbies. It brings back memories....
i could just picture ethan & i when i saw them playing.
