The kids have had a virus of some sorts. Elise began running a fever on friday night. after a rough day saturday, she seemed some better sunday and yesterday. today, she seems worse again. poor girl.
here were the sick kids this morning. they've been resting and watching cartoons. being sick isn't all bad sometimes.
ian hasn't had much of an apetite, but he hasn't slowed down on his juice drinking.
elise didn't sleep well last night, so on top of being sick, she was exhausted.
merry grace is (knock on wood) fine so far. she felt well enough to dump out all the baby wipes and look quite proud of herself. ;)

5 rays of sunshine:
I am either very suggestable or people can catch viruses through the computer because as soon as you wrote the first time about Elise being sick I got the same thing. I have been layed up for two days but am feeling much better now. It is the worst to be sick and be away from home. It makes me miss my mom and her chicken soup! Nate made me some though and it was almost as good. I hope your cute kids feel better!
i have had that same experience! i've been almost convinced that people were contagious through the phone lines. i'm sorry you've been feeling bad. it hit elise pretty hard too. well, ian, too. and now merry grace has it today. :(
i totally relate to that feeling of being sick away from home. that is one of the times that i still get homesick for home. i want grandma delia to make me some potato soup and have mama tuck me in with a snuggly blanket and watch meaningless tv shows all day. ;) its hard when your world doesn't stop just because you get sick. being a kid certainly has its perks. i'm glad nate was taking care of you and that you're doing better. hugs and kisses from nc!
Hey, I think Merry GRace looks more like you every day! I love the whole dump the wipes out right of passage. Too bad about the kids being sick, too. It sort of feels relaxing to me to have my kids be sick on the couch all day. Isn't that horrible! I am not as sensitive to getting sick though. i usually truck along without feeling that bad. Just a little tired with a stuffy nose or something. My kids don't really do the puke thing, more the other, which is somewhat more manageble (is that how that is spelled). Nate is a great guy. I am impressed to see who he has become as a man. Not that I am surprised, but it is nice to know that your brother is such an attentive and kind husband.
Give everyone a squeeze from us!
well, thank you! i think merry grace is quite the cutie, so i'm flattered that she looks like me. of course, i don't really mind if the kids look like cory, either, because i think he's kind of cute too. =) i can handle any sickness but puking. ian is my thrower-upper. (i don't think you'll find that word in websters...) poor kid. oh well. i used to think that i was really healthy, but i got the stomach bug 3 times within an 18-month period which is all but unheard of for me. before the first time i had gotten it, it had been about 10 years since i had thrown up. so now i'm even more jittery about sickness. and i was sick a lot when i was pregnant with merry grace--colds, the stomach bug...it was kind of ongoing it felt like at times. but maybe that was a pregnancy fluke and i'm back on track now. we can only hope. elise has missed school every day this week and i have LOVED having her home. i sure miss those days sometimes. =)
They are still the cutest kids sick or not.
